Still Bill
An insight into the world of soul musician Bill Withers
In 1985 Bill Withers, the great R&B singer/songwriter, made his last record, deciding it was more important to be a husband and father than a hit maker. ‘Ain’t No Sunshine,’ ‘Lean on Me’, ‘Lovely Day,’ and ‘Just the Two of Us’ are only part of his legendary music repertoire.
Now years later, he emerges to share the experiences that come with living an extraordinary and contemplative life. Through interviews with friends, family, fellow musicians and Bill himself, Still Bill paints the portrait of a man who chose to leave fame and fortune behind to remain true to himself.
You know his songs. Now meet the man.
Also includes a tribute concert, a soundtrack with previously unreleased tracks, and rare live performances.

“The hardest thing to be in songwriting is to be simple and yet profound…Bill seemed to understand intrinsically, instinctively how to do that.”
